{Places to eat: Bite Groceteria – foodie heaven}

Another gem in the neighbourhood of Inglewood, Bite Groceteria.

Highlights:

  • huge spice collection
  • large selection of local goods like Brassica mustards – love the cranberry honey, comes in a great sampler pack too, great as a gift
  • Teatro’s rice puddings – pistachio is my fave, a lovely pale green shade
  • housemade gravlax – try the vodka lemon on some rye crackers and pickled red onions
  • pastas of every shape –  I love the bucatini
  • proscuitto di san daniele – melt in your mouth
  • rougie duck confit – great in a panini with some melted brie and arugula or on a pizza
  • cheese selection and olives – organic parmesan & cave aged gruyere..mm..
  • micro basil – too cute to pass up
  • designer evian bottles – each one is like a work of art
  • italian biscuits – love the almond spice windmills

Plus they’ve got great coffee from Caffe Umbria too.

Next time you’re in Inglewood, definately stop by this cute and unique shop.

    Perhaps I’m blind (my husband might agree), but I have a heck of time trying to spot this place when driving by on 9th Ave… I’ve been to Knifewear, Choklat, etc… and I’ve scanned the street as we coast by, but I just can’t see it. Please help this confused seeker. Thanks!

    • When you enter Inglewood on 9th ave from downtown, right after 11st, its on your left handside before you reach the restaurant SUGO. It’s kind of an indented building, you’ll see patio tables and chairs on the outside. Hope this helps 🙂
