{Recipe: Vanilla Salted Hazelnut Fudge Brownies}

Tonight I was in a lazy baking mood and I had a chocolate craving that could not be tamed with a piece of chocolate.

I did not want to put in much effort or time or go to the store to buy any extra ingredients. I just wanted a no-fuss, easy, yet deliciously satisfying dessert.

Solution: Vanilla Salted Hazelnut Fudge Brownies. Decadent and fudgey bite-sized chocolate nuggets of delight. They’re so easy to make, and with only 5 ingredients, you won’t even need to write down this recipe.

It starts with a 1/2 cup of Nutella hazelnut spread, lightly warmed in the microwave till it’s easy to stir (25-30 sec).

Mmm…looks just like milk chocolate frosting.

Is it just me or do you find those commercials advertising this as a part of a wholesome breakfast for your child weird and wrong..

Add in one egg and stir till it thickens up and looks nice and glossy like so…

Stir in 5 tablespoons of flour till combined and that’s it! Scoop the batter into a mini muffin tin lined with paper cups till they’re 3/4 full. Sprinkle some crushed hazelnuts (I didn’t have any, so I used slivered almonds).

Because salt and chocolate make such a great combo. I sprinkled the tops with a small pinch of vanilla scented salt (an impulse buy at Sunterra awhile ago)…

See, what did I say? Easy peasy.

Bake for 11-12 minutes in the oven at 350F.

When they come out of the oven, the tops will be nice and crackly and if you see the middles sink in a bit. Don’t fret! That means the center is still kinda molten = fudgey goodness.

Chocolate nirvana in less than 20 minutes from start to finish…

Good to the last bite…Got milk?
